I am always looking. Taking pictures in my mind if not with a camera. I notice details that otherwise can go unnoticed. I am drawn to details in nature, urban, and inorganic. Exploring life from different perspectives has always been an element in my photograph making. My pictures tend to evoke the questions of Where? And How? and sometimes What? My background is very traditional-from the days of film and I learned early on to crop with the camera. As a result very little alteration of my images is made once the shutter clicks.

Growing up in metropolitan Washington DC, I knew I wanted to live in New England. In grade school I did a writing exercise where I said I wanted to live where there are lots of trees. My wish has come true! Massachusetts has been my home for 30 years, much of it captured with my camera. I could stop taking pictures today and have enough images and observations to share for the next 30 years!
