Thursday Dance Classes with Jayme Winell

Three opportunities for MOVEMENT! Classes run October-December (Except November 23). See below for details and registration instructions.

Empowered Creativity: Thursdays 3-4 pm, October 19 thru December 14

Through spontaneous and structured movement, get ready to let your creativity surprise you. This class will include a gentle warm-up, movement exercises, self-care techniques and simple games. Heighten your sense of well-being by releasing tension and breaking from the predictable. All ages and levels of dance training welcome! Fee: $15 drop-in

Get Moving! Dance for kids of all ages and their grown-ups: Thursdays 4:15-5:15 pm, October 19 thru December 14

This is a class to get the blood pumping, stay active, and have fun as we head into those dreary winter months. Fun, simple, easy to follow dance steps combined with upbeat music will make this an enjoyable class for all ages. Kids should be registered with an accompanying adult, class cost covers one adult and one child. Let’s Get Moving together! Fee options: $175 for the session includes one adult and one child, $25/class drop-in for one adult and one child (additional related children $10/each, family cap of $300/session or $45/class)

After Work Stretch and Strengthen: Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm, October 26 thru December 21

Have you been sitting at a computer all day? Have you been on your feet dealing with demanding customers? Come end your work day with some feel-good, body positive movement. This class will offer a gentle warm up, lots of stretching, and some simple strength building exercises, in a creative, supportive environment. Fee: $110 or $15 drop-in.

Jayme is a graduate of the San Francisco School of the Arts and holds a BA in dance and theatre for community building from Hampshire College. She is a collaborator with the tinydance project, teaches dance at the YMCA, physical education at the Common School and plays music with a local band. Jayme is thrilled to be teaching at the Center for the Arts!
